Rumblefish

Abstract Multicolor Canvas Art "Rumblefish" · Handmade · Original Art · CA$1,250

This one doesn't sit still. "Rumblefish" is a full-surface tangle of interlocking shapes — thick black outlines holding in teal, red, orange, green, purple, and pink — packed edge to edge so no single color gets to rest. Near the top there's a small target-like circle in blue and pink, the one quiet moment in the whole piece. Around the margins the paint stops short and the white ground shows through, which makes the whole thing feel like it spilled past its own borders.

It's the kind of painting that reads differently every time you look at it: a shape that was background yesterday pushes forward today. The energy is closer to graffiti or a crowded street than to anything calm — restless, loud, and completely sure of itself.

That's the abstract-expressionist bet in a nutshell: lay the feeling down first, in color and gesture, and let the picture sort itself out afterward.

Dream Cloud No. 1

Vivid Abstract Canvas Art 12x12 Yellow "Dream Cloud" no.1 · Handmade · Original Art · CA$250

The first of the Dream Cloud series sets its terms fast: a flat, even teal ground with a single concentrated burst of painting sitting left of center. Around it, nothing — just open ground. Inside the cluster it's all speed: orange arcs, black drags, green and yellow jabs, hits of pink and white, each mark landing in one go.

At 12 by 12 inches it's a small painting, and the smallness is the point. All that empty teal makes the cluster feel faster, like something that happened all at once and then stopped. You can read every gesture in it — nothing layered over, nothing fixed.

That's what the small Dream Clouds are for: quick, physical paintings where the gesture is the whole story. No composition to hide behind, just color, motion, and nerve.

Large Green Dream Cloud

Abstract Art 34"x34" canvas large green "Dream Cloud" · Custom · Uncategorized · CA$1,250

Scale changes everything. At 34 by 34 inches, this Dream Cloud gets room to breathe — a deep green field fills the whole canvas, and into the middle of it lands a burst of pink, orange, peach, teal, purple, and black. A broad orange-yellow arc sweeps through the cluster like something caught mid-motion, and a dark triangle sits off to the upper left, holding the whole thing in balance.

The green isn't a background so much as weather — it surrounds the burst completely, so the bright center feels discovered rather than placed. Up close you'd see the layers: washes sitting under dry, dragged marks, colors knocked back and then brought forward again.

This is the other end of the Dream Cloud idea from the small 12-inch pieces: same fast, physical language, but with the space to let a painting build in rounds. It's shown here framed and hung — at this size it holds a wall on its own.

Color Burst in Blue and Ember

Abstract Color Burst Canvas · Handmade · Original Art · CA$1,350

This one starts in the dark and refuses to stay there. "Abstract Color Burst Canvas" opens with a nearly black ground at the top, then lets the color break loose: bright blue ribbon-lines branch across the middle like wires or veins, and around them come hot blocks of red-orange, coral pink, and flashes of yellow and white. Nothing is blended; every shape keeps its own edge.

The blue does the most talking — thin, quick strokes that cut diagonally across the warm mass and pull the whole thing into motion. A white triangular patch near the center and pale flesh tones at the edges act like pauses, tiny rests between louder passages.

It's a painting about release, not planning: put down the dark first, then chase it with color until the surface can't hold any more. The practice is the old one — respond to what's on the canvas, trust the gesture, and stop before the instinct goes cold.

Warm Orange Geometry

Abstract Geometric Canvas Art · Handmade · Original Art · CA$1,250

Warm and unapologetic. This "Abstract Geometric Canvas Art" is built from big, sun-baked blocks of orange, red, and yellow, held together by looping teal outlines that wander over the surface like they make their own rules. A dark vertical bar drops down the center and anchors everything; around it sit fan shapes, stacked rectangles, a small polka dot, and a streaked yellow-and-black band along the bottom.

The orange keeps pushing forward — radiating red wedges on the right read almost like speed lines — while the teal and black line work carves the color into separate rooms. You can see two speeds at once: the slow filling-in of flat color against the fast, confident loops drawn over it.

The two temperatures do the work of the composition: hot color for the charge, cool line for the control. That's the balancing act of this kind of painting — let one pass be impulsive and the next pass be deliberate, and see if they can live in the same frame.

Magenta Loops on the Horizon

Vibrant Abstract Canvas · New · Original Art · CA$550

A long, low painting that reads like a landscape flattened into pure color. "Vibrant Abstract Canvas" runs wide, and across that width sit big looping circles in magenta and rose, each one wrapped in black outlines and softened at the edges like ripples. Between them thread teal, blue, and orange accents, and a smaller ring in cream and turquoise floats near the lower left.

The pinks dominate, but they're never alone — the teal washes underneath keep them from going sweet, and the black drawing keeps them from going soft. It's crowded edge to edge, marks stacked on marks, with small bright hits (a lime dot here, a white stroke there) that pull the eye across the whole span.

A horizontal canvas asks for a different kind of rhythm: no center to retreat to, just left-to-right movement. The way through is accumulation — layer, loop, and outline until the surface finds its own tempo.

Vivid Geometry in Magenta and Yellow

Vivid Geometric Abstract Painting · Handmade · Original Art · CA$1,250

Density is the subject here. "Vivid Geometric Abstract Painting" packs a square canvas with dozens of small events: a lemon-yellow circle, zebra-striped white bands, green polka dots, striped orange columns, a white shape on a magenta block that almost looks like a hand. Everything is outlined in dark navy or black, which turns the whole thing into a mosaic of locked-together pieces.

The color range is deliberately wide — magenta, purple, mustard, rust, teal, lime — but the black grid lines keep it from scattering. Striped bands sit next to flat blocks; small dots sit inside big shapes. It's the kind of painting where your eye keeps finding new rooms.

Working this busy means every small decision has to be final. In a painting with this many pieces, there's no going back to adjust one square without unbalancing the rest — the only way through is to commit to each shape as it lands.

Teal and Rose Geometry

Abstract Geometric Canvas Art · Handmade · Original Art · CA$1,400

The cooler cousin of the other "Abstract Geometric Canvas Art." This one leans into teal, slate gray, and rose pink, with dark navy lines weaving everything into a tight, almost woven lattice. It's dense — angular shards of pink and teal interlocking across the whole surface, with green and gray patches and a small burst of yellow near the center to break the cool.

Where the earlier geometric piece ran hot and open, this one feels contained and precise, like a mosaic that was planned rather than poured. The dark lines are thinner and more numerous, so the shapes read as separate tiles instead of flowing into each other.

Two paintings can share a title and still be different animals. The catalog name is generic; the difference lives in the paint — warmer here, cooler there, and a completely different relationship between line and color. This one is line-led: the drawing decides, and the color fills in.

Concentric Circles in Pink and Magenta

Modern Abstract Wall Art · Handmade · Original Art · CA$500

The most composed of the series so far. "Modern Abstract Wall Art" is built around a set of concentric circles at the center — a soft pink ring, a violet ring, a small green core — and from that hub the composition radiates outward in wedges: magenta, orange, teal, yellow, slate blue. A thick black bar sits across the top, and a dark curved form sweeps down the left side like a parenthesis holding everything in.

The wedges don't quite meet cleanly; thin gaps and overlaps keep the geometry from feeling mechanical. A pale lilac blob slides in from the right edge, and the edges of the canvas carry their own quieter blocks of blue, green, and tan.

A centered composition is a risk — it can turn static. The way out is in the edges: letting the wedges overshoot, letting one organic shape break the grid, and trusting that a strong center can hold a little mess around it.

Yellow Circles on Blue

Geometric Abstract Canvas · Original · Original Art · CA$1,250

The geometry here is bolder and more graphic than the others. "Geometric Abstract Canvas" centers on two large overlapping yellow circles, with the overlap going green — a simple move that carries the whole painting. Around them: diagonal bands of orange, a green-and-white diamond, a striped blue-and-gray column on the right, and a dark rectangular border framing the top and bottom.

The yellow is unmodulated, straight out of the tube, and it's allowed to be loud: it touches almost nothing and still organizes everything. Smaller organic bits — burnt-orange scribbled passages at the left and bottom — keep the flatness from turning cold, like notes scribbled in the margins.

When color is this direct, composition has to do the heavy lifting. Flat shapes, sharp overlaps, and one repeated motif — the circle — are enough. The lesson of this one is restraint: fewer moves, bigger shapes, and let the color be the statement.

Night Color Burst in Yellow and Pink

Abstract Color Burst Canvas · New · Original Art · CA$1,250

Same title as Post 4, different night. This "Abstract Color Burst Canvas" keeps the dark ground but trades the bright blue veins for something else: thick black webbing that clamps down over big blocks of yellow, salmon pink, and turquoise. Where the earlier burst felt like an explosion outward, this one feels contained — color pushing up against the dark instead of scattering past it.

The yellows are the heat source, especially a broad band sweeping across the lower half. Pink and turquoise cut through as sharper fragments, and a pale gray block at the lower left sits quiet, almost like a window. The black drawing is heavier here, rounder, more muscular.

Two bursts, two temperaments. One releases; this one holds back. The craft question underneath both is the same, though: how much dark can a painting take before the color stops breaking through — and how far can you push that line?

Plum and Smoke

Abstract Canvas Art · Handmade · Original Art · CA$1,350

The quietest painting in the series, and maybe the most atmospheric. "Abstract Canvas Art" works a plum-and-violet range — smoky magentas, gray-lavenders, deep burgundy — laid down in washes that thin out toward the edges. Dark, slashing marks cut through the middle like torn paper, and small hits of turquoise appear as pinpricks of light. Warm yellow ochre creeps in along the right edge and bottom corner.

Nothing here is outlined; shapes dissolve into each other instead of locking together. There's even paint splatter, little dark dots scattered like the canvas was shaken dry. The overall mood is closer to weather than to architecture — something passing through rather than something built.

Wash is the opposite discipline from the heavy outlines elsewhere in the series. It means letting the paint do what it wants on the way down, accepting the accident, and only intervening where the surface genuinely asks for it.

Block Mosaic in Green and Orange

Modern Abstract Canvas Art · Original Art · Original Art · CA$250

Small, bright, and built like a mosaic. "Modern Abstract Canvas Art" breaks a square surface into a grid of chunky blocks — lime green, tangerine orange, violet, teal, and cream — separated by dark navy bars that keep each color its own little room. Some blocks are flat; others carry quick internal scribbles, so the surface alternates between calm and busy from one tile to the next.

The green and orange do the heavy lifting, repeating often enough to give the piece a rhythm, while the purple and blue blocks act as the darker bass notes. A black band along the bottom grounds everything, like a frame the painting grew for itself.

A small canvas with a grid is an exercise in discipline: every block has to earn its place, and no gesture gets to hide. The abstract-expressionist impulse is still there — the scribbles, the hot color — just fitted into tighter quarters, which only makes each decision show more.

Magenta and Gold Circles

Geometric Abstract Canvas · Handmade · Original Art · CA$400

Concentric circles anchor the center of this canvas, cut into alternating wedges of sky blue and gold. The geometry fans outward from there in sharp triangular segments — deep magenta, gold, and cerulean — each meeting the next at clean, hard edges. The palette is loud and unapologetic: hot magenta pressed against electric yellow, cooled in turns by passages of blue. A layered border stacks around the whole composition, bands of green, gray, yellow, and blue framing the field like a window around the radiating shapes. Nothing here is loose. Every triangle is placed with intent, and the ringed center holds the eye while the surrounding field pushes outward. The mood is bright and architectural — built more than brushed. Flat, unmodulated color keeps each area crisp, and in this kind of work the gesture lives in the placement of the shapes, not in the brushstroke.

A Ring of Many Colors

Geometric Abstract Canvas · Handmade · Original Art · CA$400

The center of this piece is a ringed circle divided into quadrants of color — dark green, royal blue, maroon, black, and pale blue — like a wheel cut from different cloths and set back together. Around it, soft teal fills the corners while sweeping shapes of pale yellow curve in from the sides, loose and organic against the strict geometry of the middle. A flat orange border holds the inner field, and beyond that the canvas turns into pattern: vertical stripes of green and blue along the left and top, a zigzag of yellow triangles at the right edge, green-and-cream bars along the bottom. The contrast is the point — a rigid center against an outer frame that refuses to sit still. Bright, busy, and deliberate, the painting keeps the eye moving between the rings and the borders. Building geometry by hand, edge against edge, is where the discipline of this practice shows itself.

A Teal Ring on Pink

Geometric Abstract Canvas Art · New · Original Art · CA$500

A bold teal ring with a flat yellow center sits at the heart of this piece, set against a pale pink-and-white wash that lets the paint show through. The geometry around it is restless: a vertical column of alternating teal and orange stripes runs down the left edge, an orange block juts in from the right, and dark navy panels crowd both sides. Around it all, a frame of mauve and pale yellow squares boxes the composition in. The palette mixes warmth and chill — hot orange and yellow against cool teal and deep navy — while the washed pink ground softens everything it touches. Sharp, graphic, and deliberately crowded, the painting balances a single strong central shape against a busy surround. Laying a thin, open wash under hard-edged geometry is one way to keep control and looseness in the same frame.

The Striped Square

Geometric Abstract Canvas Art · New · Original Art · CA$400

Stripes dominate this canvas. A central square of alternating green and yellow bands runs vertical at the top and bottom, horizontal through the middle, and a divided circle sits dead center — quartered in dark blue, sky blue, green, and dusty mauve. Around the square, the borders refuse to behave: diagonal rays of orange, purple, and black flare at the top corners, green and yellow slashes cut across the left and right, and bands of orange, maroon, and cream crowd the bottom. The whole thing feels like a flag or a target locked inside a frame that keeps shifting. Green and yellow carry the rhythm, and every accent — the orange bars, the blue center — lands on the beat. Bright and demanding, the piece rewards a look straight at its middle. Getting hand-painted stripes this straight is patience work, and that patience is the craft.

A Small Mark on Orange

Abstract Orange Vellum Art · Handmade · Original Art · CA$520

This piece is mostly empty space on purpose. A wide field of flat orange vellum fills the frame, and near the bottom sits a single small cluster of marks — dark black strokes layered with hits of pink, green, and blue, built up into one compact knot of color. The orange ground is calm and unbroken, which makes the little burst at the bottom feel louder than it is. Set in a simple black frame, the work reads as restraint: one gesture, one color field, nothing extra. The mood is quiet and spare, the kind of image that asks you to look longer rather than wider. Painting a large empty ground and then committing to just one cluster takes nerve — every mark has nowhere to hide, and the discipline of the abstract-expressionist approach is knowing when to stop.

Gestural Marks on Teal

Abstract Teal Vellum Art · New · Original Art · CA$520

A broad field of pale teal vellum fills this framed piece, and near the bottom sits a single compact cluster of gesture — arched strokes of red, orange, green, pink, and black layered over one another with a bright green dot at the center. The teal ground stays flat and open above it, almost like sky over a small dark gathering at the ground line. Black, framed simply, the contrast is the whole story: a cool, quiet expanse holding one warm, tangled knot of paint. The mood is airy and unhurried, the marks feeling quick and direct against the stillness of the field. This pairing — one saturated color field, one burst of raw gesture — is a recurring move in this practice: lay the calm down first, then answer it with speed.

A Burst of Color on Blue

Abstract Splash Canvas 12" x 12" acrylic Blue " Dream Cloud" no. 2 · Handmade · Original Art · CA$250

A flat mid-blue canvas holds one small explosion of paint off to the left — a cluster of orange, green, yellow, and black marks packed together, with small white flecks scattered through it. Most of the surface stays empty and calm, which makes the little burst feel like it just landed there. The blue is even and unmodulated; all the energy is concentrated in that one spot, the strokes quick, layered, and overlapping. It reads like a single moment of gesture dropped into a wide field of quiet. Cool, open, and direct. Working small and fast, putting one loaded gesture against a field of flat color and leaving the rest of the canvas alone, is the kind of editing that keeps an abstract-expressionist piece alive — the restraint is the gesture.

A Dark Cluster on Yellow

Abstract Yellow Canvas 12" x 12" yellow " Dream Cloud " NO. 3 · Handmade · Original Art · CA$250

Almost the entire canvas is a flat, even yellow — and then, right of center, a compact knot of paint: black, orange, green, and pale blue strokes packed and layered into a tight dark mass. A faint pale arc of lighter yellow ghosts out to the left of it, the only other mark on the field. The contrast is stark: a loud yellow ground holding a dense, almost black center of gravity. The marks in the cluster are quick and scraped, layered wet into wet with bits of orange flickering at the edges. The mood is bright and confrontational — the yellow demands attention and the dark knot answers it. Letting one aggressive cluster carry a whole yellow field is a color decision as much as a gesture, and committing to it without filling the space around it is where the practice shows its nerve.

Black and Orange on Pink

Abstract Pink Canvas 12" x 12" acrylic pink "Dream Cloud" NO.4 · Handmade · Original Art · CA$250

A flat hot-pink field fills the canvas, broken only by a small burst of gesture right of center — black, orange, and yellow strokes layered into a ragged cluster, with touches of green and a small red dot tucked inside. A thin, curling line of yellow pulls away from the mass like a loose thread. The pink ground is even and saturated, which makes the dark cluster read as hot and urgent against it. The marks are fast and scraped, overlapping at the core and loosening at the edges. Bold, punchy, and unapologetic — the kind of piece that fills a wall with just one color and one gesture. Setting a dark, tangled burst against a single saturated ground is a classic move in this work, and it only holds if the gesture is made in one committed pass.

A Knot of Color on Green

Abstract Green Canvas Art 12" x 12" acrylic green " Dream Cloud" no. 5 · Handmade · Original Art · CA$250

A deep, even green covers this canvas, and near the top sits one dense knot of color — a rough circular mass of blue, black, red, yellow, orange, and pink strokes layered over each other. The mass reads almost like a tangled head of marks: a band of dark strokes across the middle, a bright blue passage at the center, red and yellow flickers at the edges, pale teal shapes pressing in from the sides. The green ground is flat and calm, which lets the knot hold all the noise. Quick, layered, and built up wet — the strokes keep their edges and the colors stay separate instead of muddying. Restless and concentrated. Building a tight cluster of many colors that still reads as one shape, without the layers turning to mud, is pure paint-handling discipline.

Cream Cloud No. 6 — Small Burst on an Orange Field

Abstract Orange Canvas Art 15" x 15" acrylic orange " Cream Cloud" NO. 6 · Handmade · Original Art · CA$250

A small burst of color sits at the center of a big flat field of orange. The ground is a warm, even orange that fills the whole square, and all the action is packed into one tight cluster in the middle: loops of bright yellow, strokes of teal and leaf green, patches of magenta and pink, black marks, a flash of navy. The gesture is dense and circular, like something swirled in one quick motion. A few small teal drips fall below it onto the orange, and the rest of the ground stays completely quiet — no marks in the upper half at all. The canvas is unframed, edges painted, hanging on a white wall. The contrast is the whole point: hot color versus hotter calm, a single energetic knot against an enormous empty field.

That's the craft — committing to the ground color first, then spending all the gesture on one small, deliberate hit.

Dream Cloud No. 9 — Pink Ground in a Black Frame

Abstract framed canvas 9" x 11" pink "Dream Cloud" no.9 · New · Original Art · CA$175

The piece sits in a thin black frame with a white margin around a soft pink ground. Almost all the paint lives in the lower half: a roundish tangle of bright yellow loops, black slashes, and patches of orange and red, with teal-blue marks at the top of the cluster and again at the lower right, like brackets holding it in. The pink around it is washed and quiet, paling toward the top, and the upper half of the ground is nearly empty. Some of the yellow reads as dotted and streaked, the black as quick and scratched, so the cluster feels fast even though it stays compact and centered. There's a slight glare across the glass in the photo, catching the pink at the edges.

What holds it together is restraint — one active knot of color given room to breathe inside a calm pink field, and a color decision made early enough to let the gesture stay loud.

Yellow VellumArt — A Dark Knot on a Yellow Field

Abstract Yellow VellumArt · New · Original Art · CA$520

A tall field of yellow fills almost the whole frame, bright and unbroken from top to bottom. Down near the lower edge sits a dense, angular mass of dark color: black, deep red and plum shapes, with vertical strokes of teal and green cutting through them. A small blue ring marks the bottom of the cluster. Everything else is yellow — the upper two-thirds of the ground carry no paint at all. The piece is behind glass, and the surface picks up a reflection, but the paint reads through clearly: the dark marks are layered and dry-brushed in places, scratched-looking at the edges, packed tight against each other like a small dark structure parked on a vast yellow floor.

The craft here is placement — one heavy, low gesture trusted to hold the whole tall canvas, with the color decision doing the drama for it.

Vivid Abstract — A Blue Vortex on Red

Vivid Abstract Canvas Art · Handmade · Original Art · CA$550

Color covers the whole surface in a big, circling composition. Deep blue and a hot red-pink sweep across the ground in wide arcs, with green patches, orange strokes, black shapes, and short white marks layered on top. The marks curl around a center point, giving the piece a turning, vortex-like feel — nothing in it sits still or straight. Where the colors overlap they mix into teal, violet, and muddy browns at the edges, so the painting keeps changing as you follow the curves around. The paint looks fast and wet-on-wet in places, with the brush visibly dragging through the layers. There's no frame, no empty margin; the motion runs right to the edges on every side.

The craft is the commit to the sweep — one big circular gesture loaded with color, and the willingness to let the layers collide instead of cleaning them up.

Dreamscape — An Open Blue Rectangle

Vivid Abstract Artwork on canvas 11"x9" "Dreamscape" · New · Uncategorized · CA$175

A black frame holds a light, washed composition with a loose grid at its center. Blue bars form an open rectangle in the middle of the ground, like a window that doesn't quite close. Around it float blobs of magenta and purple, strokes of orange and yellow down the right side, black and gray marks at the left. The ground itself is pale — thin washes of pink, green, and gray-blue — and a band of magenta runs along the bottom edge, anchoring the whole piece. The paint is thin in places, with the weave showing through, and thicker where the purple and orange land. Nothing connects up; the shapes hover separately, drifting around the blue frame at the center.

The craft is in the restraint of the paint — thin washes that let the ground stay luminous, and bold shapes set down once, left alone, never reworked.

Dream Cloud No. 11 — Teal Arcs on Orange

Abstract Artwork on Canvas 11"x9" orange "Dream Cloud" no. 11 · New · Uncategorized · CA$175

The ground is a flat, warm orange filling nearly the whole framed field. Low in the composition sits a roundish knot of paint: black shapes at its center, arcs of teal-blue sweeping around them, patches of yellow and green, and a few small orange dots scattered through. The cluster is compact but busy, the brushstrokes quick and overlapping, and the teal arcs give it a spinning feel, like the whole mass is turning in place. Above it the orange is completely empty — more than half the ground is bare. A thin white margin shows between the orange field and the black frame.

The piece works on contrast: a loud, fast bundle of color pinned low against a huge quiet field, with the teal chosen to snap against the orange.

That snap is the craft — complementary color laid down decisively, one mark at a time, until the small cluster carries the whole picture.

Dream Cloud No. 8 — A Small Burst on Teal

Abstract Artwork on canvas 11" x 9" blue "Dream Cloud" no. 8 · New · Uncategorized · CA$175

Under a black frame, a flat teal-blue ground holds one small, fast cluster of paint just below center. The marks are quick flicks — black, bright orange, green, and yellow — crammed into a tight space no bigger than a fist, with a few strokes trailing off at the edges. Everything around it is empty teal: the upper half of the ground is completely untouched, and a white margin runs between the blue field and the frame. The cluster reads as a single burst, the kind of mark made in seconds, but the color hits hard against the calm blue — orange especially. The photo is taken at a slight angle, but the composition is plain: one small event in a big quiet room.

The craft is timing — knowing when a few seconds of gesture are enough, and leaving the rest of the ground alone.

Dream Cloud No. 7 — Open Marks on Yellow

Abstract Yellow Artwork on canvas 11"x" 9 acrylic yellow" Dream Cloud" no..7 · New · Uncategorized · CA$175

A bright yellow ground fills the framed field, edge to edge, with one roundish burst of paint sitting low at the center. The cluster mixes teal blocks, sweeping orange and red strokes, black marks, green patches, and a few white flecks — looser and more open than a tight knot, with strokes that reach outward before curling back in. The yellow around it is flat and warm, unmarked from edge to edge, and a white margin sits between the yellow field and the black frame. The marks have a fresh, wet-brush look: visible drags, ragged edges, layers piled while still moving. It feels like the middle of an action, caught and left there.

The craft is in the yellow itself — a ground color loud enough to carry the piece, so the gesture only has to arrive once, confidently, and stop.

Colorful Painting Print — A Full-Bleed Crowd

Abstract Colorful Painting Print · hand-made · Gifts · CA$150

The print runs edge to edge with no margin — a dense, busy field of interlocking shapes. Yellow arcs sweep across the top left, white and pink curves cut through the middle, blue and green blocks stack and slide past each other, and bands of red and orange push through the lower half. It's a crowd: every inch is occupied, and the shapes overlap and jostle like they're competing for the same space. The palette is bright and high-contrast, with the dark blues and blacks giving the hot colors something to lean on. As a print, the edges are clean and the colors read sharp, but the energy of the original paint comes through — this is not a quiet wall piece.

The craft shows in the density — packing a full range of color into one surface without letting it collapse into noise, and keeping every shape readable in the tangle.

Expressionist Painting Print — White Ribbons on Black

Abstract Expressionist Painting Print · Handmade · Gifts · CA$150

Diagonal white ribbons cut across a dark field, thick and curving, like broad brushstrokes frozen mid-sweep. Behind and around them: black, deep red, teal, ochre, and a block of pink at the right edge, with smaller marks of orange and gray scattered through. The composition runs corner to corner, tilted, so the whole piece feels like it's sliding. The darks dominate — this is a shadowed painting, with the white and the pink acting as flashes against it. The paint handling reads rough and scraped in places, layered and built up in others. As a print the image is full-bleed, no frame, no border, just the artwork filling the rectangle.

The craft is the confidence of the white — one bold, light gesture trusted to carry a whole dark field, and every other color placed in service of that contrast.
